Methodology: This research was conducted by using an experimental study with a pretest-posttest design, employing a control group. The study population consisted of all divorced women who have been referred to counseling centers Gonbad Qabus city. The sample in this study consisted of 34 divorced women that randomly placed in two groups of 17 patients (experimental group and control group. The tool used in the study were: Psychological well-being questionnaire (1989), general self-efficacy questionnaire, Harter's Perceived Competence Scale. To analyze the data obtained was used from multivariate analysis of covariance. Findings: The data indicated that optimism training in a group, regarding the effectiveness of the intervention, was significantly (p<0.001) was verified The effect of improved self-efficacy, dominate the environment, personal growth, positive relations with others, purpose and acceptance in divorced mothers Also in the cognitive, social, physical and life satisfaction on a scale of Children deserve to be effective. Conclusion: The effectiveness of this treatment is recommended Generally Based on these findings, we can say Training optimism in divorced mothers increased the efficacy and psychological well-being of mothers and their children also increases the perception of competence is effective.
